Over ten spectacular days from Friday, February 13 to Sunday February 22, you can get a taste of culturally rich Asia right here in Brisbane.
The 2026 edition of the festival is packed with events and experiences, uniting world-class artists and creatives. You can expect to find everything from Lunar New Year celebrations to street festivals, authentic eats, live performances, dance parties, workshops, comedy, and more.
What to expect
The fun will kick off on Friday, February 13 with Southside by Night, at the iconic Unidus Community Centre, bringing together some of Brissy’s hottest hip-hop talent, artists, street cars and food all under one roof— or rather, sky.
And that Friday and through Saturday, February 14, Hội Chợ Tết (Lunar New Year Festival) will light up CJ Greenfield Sports Complex with the largest cultural celebration of the Vietnamese community! Over two vibrant days, enjoy mouth-watering traditional Vietnamese cuisine, fireworks, performances by local musicians and artists and more!
Then on Sunday, February 15, Lunar New Year in the Gardens will bring fun for the whole family, with lion dancers and a martial arts display, live music, soundscapes, traditional dances, KPOP, Henna face painting and more!

One of this year’s new additions is the sophisticated Lunar Soul Party, a soirée that’ll bring together a line-up of amazing artists including Neo Soul DJ Saie, local hip hop legend Chong Ali and stunning opera singer Zi Wang, and sumptuous pan-Asian cuisine and drinks!
More festival highlights include dance battles, stand-up comedy acts, Sunnybank’s rooftop party on February 28, as well as an immersive visual and audio meditation experience at Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium.
