This month, a new Italian eatery is set to open its doors in South Bank, bringing with it Australia’s most extensive spritz list to date. Ovello provides a spacious spot to hang out, with a bar, two dining rooms and alfresco-style outdoor seating. Home to a moreish Amalfi menu full of Insta-worthy drinks and delicious Italian eats, this is one spot to gather the gang to. Among the beverage offering are 14 spritz cocktails to choose from as well as the most expensive spritz in the country, The Dutchess, priced at $299. This boujee bevvie is a perfect mix of Dom Perignon Champagne, rose liqueur and Turkish delight coated in a gold lustre. The fanciest drink to hit Brisbane? Perhaps.

2. Catch one of the world’s most enthralling productions: Hamilton the Musical
After successful seasons in Sydney and Melbourne, Hamilton the Musical has finally arrived in Brisbane. Hamilton’s Brisbane run is hitting the stage at QPAC from January until March.
For the uninitiated, Hamilton, The Musical is the story of Alexander Hamilton, the first secretary of the treasury and right-hand man of George Washington during the Revolutionary War. He was a black immigrant from the West Indies and just like his country, he is ‘young, scrappy and hungry’.
3. Join in on the Lunar New Year celebrations at BrisAsia
To celebrate Lunar New Year, BrisAsia Festival has returned, bringing with it a slew of festivities. Over three huge weeks, get a taste of culturally rich Asia right here in Brisbane. 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit, which symbolises luck, good fortune, peace, beauty, and creativity.
The 2023 edition of the festival, running from February 1 – 19, is packed with events and experiences, bringing together over 400 artists and creatives. You can expect to find everything from Lunar New Year celebrations to exhibitions, live music, dance parties, workshops, comedy, and more.
4. See a movie under the stars at Moonlight Cinema
After screening plenty of sizzling summer blockbusters in January, Moonlight Cinema will bring a touch of romance to Brisbane in February.
