Brookfield Rose Farm is a wholesome spot for a day outdoors, wandering through the flower fields; smelling and picking your own roses. The farm, located close to Mount Coot-tha, is home to a variety of roses in many shapes and colours, so you’re spoilt for choice by the time you’ve got your provided secateurs and bucket.
On Sunday, November 20, Brookfield Rose Farm is holding a concert among the flowers. From 3 – 6pm, have your afternoon soundtracked by an eight-piece orchestra whilst sipping on a G&T from the gin bar on-site.
Once you arrive at the Strings and Stems event, park up your picnic blankets or chairs in the rose garden and let the modern classic and old favourite sounds soothe you. The concert can be enjoyed by the whole family.
Charcuterie or vegan picnic hampers can be ordered when booking tickets for this lovely event, so you can enjoy the sounds with a gourmet snack.
A variety of stalls will also be at the farm selling locally produced goodies, so be sure to have a browse.
Tickets for Strings and Stems is $32 per person, with kids under 10 free.

The idea for Brookfield Rose Farms stems from the owner’s family trips to a pick your own rose farm in Cape Town, South Africa.
