At a virtual press conference in Sydney Ed Sheeran finally gave us the most Perfect news: he’s headed down under in 2026 as part of his much-anticipated Loop Tour!
After the massive success of his Divide Tour in 2018, which holds the record for the highest-selling tour in Australian history — with AC/DC’s Pwr Up Tour rapidly catching up — the ginger crooner came back to our country in 2023 for his sold-out Mathematics Tour, selling more than 1 million tickets across Australia and New Zealand.
Now, the global superstar is getting ready to perform no less than twelve stadium shows across Australia from January to March next year. And, while you can expect him to perform some of his greatest hits, the shows will also surely be filled with new music off his newest album Play, which was released in September, so you have time to learn the lyrics before the tour!
Although Ed had already teased the possibility of an Aussie tour on TikTok, he confirmed it via video at the iconic Lord Dudley Hotel, transformed into the “Old Phone Pub” from the Old Phone music video, in Sydney.
In even more good news, we now know which incredible acts will be supporting Sheeran on his Brisbane stops, and that is none other than Aussie singer-songwriter legend Vance Joy, ARIA-nominated artist Mia Wray, and rising star Aaron Rowe.
He will also be joined by Irish girl group BIIRD at his New Zealand and Perth shows.
How to get tickets
Tickets for Ed Sheeran’s Brisbane show at Suncorp Stadium went on general sale on Tuesday, July 29 at 4pm local time through AXS, with tickets ranging in price from $109.90 to $249.90.
Despite adding new dates, they are now unfortunately sold out, but it’s worth keeping an eye on resale platforms such as Ticketek for fan-to-fan offers.
