One thing that says summer in Brisbane is a refreshing G&T by the river. And what better place to do that than Howard Smith Wharves? A festival dedicated to Aussie gin is popping up by the water for one big Sunday session in the Rivershed this month. Ginuary Festival is ready to raise the bar once again for local gin lovers.
Sunday, January 28 is the date you’ll want to save. A day to celebrate the best from homegrown gin distillers across the country, all the while enjoying unrivalled views over the Brisbane River while you’re around.
A gin tasting hall will be set up during the day, where you’ll be able to taste and choose from a heap of carefully selected gins.
Regular passes range between $63 and $74 per person, which includes access to the festival, unlimited gin tastings, as well as a G&T on arrival. This year, there will be two separate sessions: 12 – 3pm or 4 – 7pm.
Ginuary Festival does Hottest 100 a little differently too. And to keep the annual tradition afloat, they’ll be counting down the Hottest 100 Aussie Gins, as voted by gin lovers. You can vote for your favourite Aussie gin via the Covent Garden website.
