When it comes to Brisbane’s rooftop bars, Iris is one of our faves, thanks to its ideal location atop Hotel X, sweeping city views and flower-adorned ceiling.
And now, the Brunswick Street go-to is giving us another reason to head sky high: every Sunday starting October 22, Iris Rooftop will serve up its High Tea Tapas experience, which comes with a selection of delicious Spanish bites and bottomless beverages.
Gather the gang for a Sunday session on the rooftop, where you’ll be treated to 1.5 hours of bottomless drinks, including cocktails, AIX rosé, Tavalon teas and more.
In terms of food, think lamb empanadas, patatas bravas, mushroom croquettes, smoked ocean trout and churros with chocolate sauce to finish.
And to wash it down, we’ve got brunch margaritas, rose sangria, mimosas, wine, a boozeless paloma, and a variety of tea.
While the High Tea Tapas offering runs from 11.30am to 3.30pm, you might want to try and book around lunchtime, since the live music starts at 1pm to soundtrack the afternoon. You can expect performances from local artists such as Xy & Nes.
As for the price, you’re looking at $88 per person. It’s perfect for a stylish outing with friends, special occasions, or a cheeky date at which you both go all out.
If you’re looking for a boozy afternoon with your loved ones, fuelled with cocktails and Spanish tapas, this is one to keep on your radar.
To book High Tea Tapas, head to Iris Rooftop’s website.
You can find Iris at 458 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley, atop Hotel X.
