Calling all sweet tooths, The International Cake Show Australia is returning to Brisbane this April for three massive days of cake displays, masterclasses, live cake making, entertainment, and plenty of opportunities for a sugar rush.
This year’s edition will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre Hall 2 from Friday, April 12 to Sunday, April 14.
The world’s best cake sculptors are heading to Brisbane for the occasion, alongside professional pastry chefs, bakers, chocolatiers, home hobbyist decorators, and food personalities.
Highlights we can expect to see at this super sweet extravaganza include The House of Horror, which is a huge new walk-through sugar feature packed full of handcrafted sugar art, as well as a three-metre-high Bumble Bee Transformer.
The International Cake Show is also home to hands-on workshops, classes to suit every experience level, Australia’s largest cake and cookie decorating competition, pop up shops to pick up sweet treats from, and more.
International Cake Show Australia CEO, Joan McDermott says the show is all about, “creating magic, defying possibilities and breaking boundaries,” and goes on to add, “For the millions who watch Cake Boss and follow the hundreds of thousands of edible artists on social media, this event is the penultimate experience, and to have it staged here in Brisbane as the national showpiece is certainly a coup for the city.”
