There’s a new Italian eatery in town, and if you’re a fan of carb-filled eats and spritz cocktails, you’ll absolutely want to check it out. From the legends behind Teneriffe’s Dalgety 2.0 Public House, say ciao to Italia Lane.
Located in the heart of the Valley, you’ll need to walk down a hidden alleyway to find this gem. But when you do, you’ll come across a vibrant outdoor laneway and spacious restaurant area.
Not only is Italia Lane a choice new spot for a bite to eat, but the festoon lights in the laneway are also a perfect backdrop for a Friday night or weekend session, with DJs and acoustic music on those nights.
As for the food menu, it varies between breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings, with a focus on share plates. Think charcuterie boards freshly sliced in-house, rigatoni with guanciale, egg, pecorino and pepper, as well as eight pizza varieties and a beet cured salmon with grape chutney and gin caviar.
Save some room for dessert with the house made tiramisu.
To accompany the delicious eats is a lengthy selection of wine and cocktail tipples, including a whole section dedicated to spritzes, served in carafes to share with the gang. Take your pick of zesty Aperol, limoncello spritz or a classic Bellini.
On Sundays, Italia Lane serves up a Secret Sunday Spritz deal, where you can tuck into a three-course Italian feast paired with a spritz for just $59 per person. This includes a choice of entrée, a wood-fired pizza as a main, then a dessert selection. You can also go bottomless on the spritzes by paying an extra $30.
