Ever wanted to see how your food gets made and, better yet, watch and adorable tiny chef hard at work? This may be starting to sound like Ratatouille, but don’t worry, we can promise no rodents are involved, though Le Petit Chef, the world’s smallest chef, shares Remy’s French origins!
Prepare to embark on an enchanting gastronomic adventure with this adorable culinary expert, with an immersive and unforgettable dining experience, brought to you by Lennon’s Restaurant and Bar in the Brisbane Hyatt, that will spark your imagination and transport you into the animated world of Le Petit Chef.
At just 6cm tall, Le Petit Chef has the honour of holding the record for world’s smallest chef! Born in April 2015 in Marseille, France, this little culinary creator is committed to bringing delightful dining and entertainment to all who come to this restaurant.
By using a profound artistic knowledge, and combining it with the latest technology, his “parents” — the art directors of Skullmapping — tell stories with stunning bespoke visuals. The technology they use is called 3D Projection Mapping, and it results in an experience that will capture your imagination!
The show is paired with themed music, props, and an exquisite menu. Bringing a miniature chef to life on your dining table through the magic of visual mapping — outlining the table and objects on it, such as plates and cutlery — a stunningly life-like story is projected onto the tabletop. Using special optical techniques and length distortions to produce the illusion of 3D, you’ll be totally immersed in this tiny and whimsical world.
You can choose from a Classic or Vegetarian Menu, while children under 12 can enjoy a Junior Menu, all featuring the same magical visuals. All three menus are five courses and include French staples like bouillabaisse and filling entrées like chicken and BBQ for the Classic, imaginative dishes like whipped macadamia in the Veggie Menu, and fried chicken and orecchiette for the little ones!
