Portuguese custard tarts, also known as Pastel de Nata, are a god-tier dessert, there’s no denying it. The flaky buttery pastry, the gooey aromatic custard centres. I’m salivating just thinking about them. If you’re after authentic, fresh-baked Portuguese tarts, look no further than Lisboa Caffe, Brisbane’s first bakery dedicated to them.
Here, you’ll find Portuguese custard tarts, mini custard tarts as well as almond tarts. For 1 Portuguese tart, it costs $5, however, you can stock up with 4 of the custard tarts for $17, 9 of the minis for $9, or two of the almond tarts for $14. One might not be enough, to be honest, and it’d be rude not to try them all, right? Plus, you could grab a box and share them with your housemates, lover, friends, or colleagues, or eat them all yourself (no one’s judging here).
Lisboa Caffe is open in South Brisbane for takeaway tarts from Wednesday – Sunday from 7am – 3pm. They’re a delicious sweet treat anytime of the day.
They also deliver to a long list of Brisbane suburbs, in case you’d rather the tarts come to you, with free delivery on all orders over $50. You can make an order here.
