Is there a more perfect drink to sip on in the sun than one that is the perfect blend of zesty, sweet, salty, spicy and refreshing? Nobody’s doing it like margaritas, and with so many flavours and varieties to try, it’s no wonder there’s a whole day — and in some cases, spoiler alert, a whole month — dedicated to this fun fruity drink!
Howard Smith Wharves
The riverside precinct is again turning International Margarita Day into an 11-day celebration alongside iconic tequila brand, Patrón. From Thursday, February 20 to Sunday March 2, make your way to Howard Smith Wharves and enjoy an all-encompassing fiesta.
Award-winning Chef Louis Tikaram will be taking over the Main Lawn with a Margarita Week Pop Up food stall with a bespoke menu, and the Main Lawn will transform into the Patrón Garden over the two weekends.
Besides stirred, shaken and frozen margs, there’ll be plenty of other treats, like Felons Brewing Co.’s Paloma Sour Ale, a sour inspired in the zesty Mexican cocktail. Get into the mood with crowdpleasers like watermelon, frozen mango and blood orange margaritas, dance the night away to the live music, play games and even hit a piñata!
