Pride Month is back for the whole of June, and you can celebrate in style at the first-ever Moreton Bay PrideFest.
For one massive day on Saturday, June 10, you’ll get to dance to a huge lineup of artists, attend a drag brunch or drag afternoon tea, and more.
Among the musicians lined up is Brisbane’s very own Thelma Plum, as well as Sneaky Sound System, Courtney Act, Havana Brown, Harry K + the Fluffy All Stars, and supporting acts such as Dusty Band, Karlou, and BEKS.
Included in a general ticket is skate hire from the Roller Baes pop-up roller skating rink. Just look out for the retro peachy-pink 1960s caravan, gather the gang, and try your hand (or rather, feet) at skating around.
If you’re looking to chill out at the festival, you can head to The One Love Zone to find free workshops, the Slay Lane Markets, a 360 photo booth, quiet zone, and LGBTIQAP+ support services.
Requiring an additional ticket but totally worth it is a trip to Cloudland’s iconic “Brunch with Bite” Drag Brunch Club, which will have a pop-up event at the festival.
Drag brunch and drag afternoon tea sessions are available to spice up your Saturday, where you’ll be entertained by riotous and risqué performances as you tuck into a grazing station and 2.5-hour drinks package.
Headspace is the official charity partner for Moreton Bay PrideFest, and $5 from every ticket sold will to go towards LGBTIQAP+ programs in Moreton Bay delivered by the headspace Redcliffe, Strathpine and Caboolture branches.
The festival is set to be Moreton Bay’s biggest LGBTIQAP+ celebration to date.
