When Pride Month comes in hot for the whole of June, you can celebrate in style at Moreton Bay PrideFest.
For one massive day on Saturday, June 8, you’ll get to dance to an array of artists, enjoy a drag show, and more.
Among the first round of performers announced are RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni Kween Kong and Art Simone, as well as ARIA award-winning singer Samantha Jade, and supporting acts such as DJ Harry K and Fluffy All Stars.
Included in a general ticket is skate hire from the Roller Baes pop-up roller skating rink. Just look out for the retro peachy-pink 1960s caravan, gather the gang, and try your hand (or rather, feet) at skating around.
If you’re looking to chill out at the festival, you can head to The One Love Zone to find free craft activations, the Slay Lane Markets, LGBTIQAP+ support services, and more.
“The event will empower current and future generations to be their true selves and feel accepted and proud of who they are, regardless of their gender identify or sexuality,” Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism CEO, Tash Wheeler said. “Moreton Bay PrideFest has a vision to make the region a happier, healthier, safer and more culturally rich and diverse place for the LGBTQIA+ community. PrideFest is at the heart of this dream.”
