In anticipation of Pride Month coming in hot for the whole of June, you can get started celebrating in style at Moreton Bay PrideFest.
For one massive day on Saturday, April 18, you’ll get to dance to an array of artists, enjoy a drag show, and more.
With a Main Stage featuring a live set by DJ Ryzen, a delightful princess runway, a stunning burlesque performance, a fabulous rainbow catwalk, an electrifying show by Undercut — the Ultimate Queer Boi Band — and more, the day will be a whole vibe!
That’s not all: prepare for groovy live sets at the One Love Zone, brought to you by DJ Galleon, QUIVR, and Chicks on Decks, who will keep the vibes flowing and the blood pumping throughout the day.
If you’re looking to get hands-on with the celebration, you have to check out one of their werk-shops! From classics like drag brunch and drag bingo, to more crafty options such as sash making and flag making, and even an author chat with wonderful sapphic writers, you’ll have to sissy that walk as fast as you can to get to everything!
With a population of 450,000, Moreton Bay has the third largest local government in Australia, meaning that LGBTQ+ support services, events and organisations are a crucial element of community care, and that’s only growing in importance.
