Start 2022 off in a wholesome way with some nature and cute animal therapy. We could all do with a bit (lot) of that, preferably every day until the summer holidays are over. Luckily for us, we can have a picnic with an adorable alpaca at Mountview Alpaca Farm in the Scenic Rim.

Located on-site of O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards just an hour from Brisbane, Mountview Alpaca Farm is home to a bunch of alpacas so friendly that you can get up close and personal to them—for a selfie, and even for a picnic. Let’s start with the names of some of these furry friends: Ed Sheeran, Pancake, Snowball, Tim Tam, and Peanut. We can’t even. These alpacas are trained as therapy animals too.

As for the encounters, you can choose between 15, 30, or 60 minutes of quality time with an alpaca of choice. You’ll take a stroll around the farm with your new furry friend, feeding them along the way. Why not add a vineyard picnic basket on top of your experience, comprising of cold meats and salads, marinated vegetables, cheese, dips, crackers, ice cream, as well as wine, beer or soft drink. All you have to do is bring your own picnic blanket or chairs.

You can book your alpaca experience via the Mountview Alpaca Farm website
