After its 2023 Queensland debut, Australia’s largest and longest-running Oktoberfest in the Gardens is set to return for a huge 2025 edition, with seven single-day events around Australia this October, attended by over 60,000 people.
Raise your steins and don your dirndl or lederhosen like a true Bavarian as the festival takes over Brisbane Showgrounds on Saturday, October 11. Browse the German food stalls for traditional bites such as pretzels and sausages. Then head to the beer hall and grab a stein of imported German beer. Cider, wine and other beverages can also be purchased.
Oktoberfest in the Gardens will feature entertainment aplenty: expect everything from roving performers and thrill rides to sideshow alley, silent disco, and on-stage competitions across multiple stages into the afternoon and evening.

Ross Drennan, co-founder of Nokturnl Events, the legends behind this colossal celebration said, “We say it every year, but this really is set to be our biggest Oktoberfest tour yet.
“To have been recognised last year by Condé Nast Traveller as one of the top five Oktoberfest celebrations in the world is huge – not just for us, but for Australian festivals in general. We’ve expanded across the country, introduced new cities, new experiences and the response has been phenomenal. The energy, the culture, the sheer scale of it – it’s something we’re incredibly proud of.”
Oktoberfest in the Gardens kicks off in Adelaide this October, before heading to Perth, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle, and Sydney.
