One of the perks of living close to the ocean is that you’re usually not too far from fresh local seafood. Luckily for us, the eastern coastline adjacent to Brisbane is brimming with fishy delights, honourable mention going to Moreton Island’s oyster farm. And with the warmer weather upon us, we’ll soon be spending more time by the sea. So why not pair that with the return of Sandstone Point Hotel’s Oyster and Seafood Festival?
If you’re a fan of fish, this is one seafood soiree you won’t want to miss. From 12pm on Saturday, October 14, Sandstone Point Hotel will be shucked alive with fresh seafood stalls, live music, prawn peeling competitions, as well as seafood cooking demonstrations and more.
Whether it be freshly shucked oysters, Moreton Bay bugs, calamari or a mouthwatering piece of local fish, there’ll be something at the festival to satisfy your seafood cravings.
Gather the gang for a day by the sea. Who knows, it might even be hot enough to go for a swim by then too.
Final release tickets are on sale now for $7.65 per person.
