River to Bay brings the bar to you on their boat tours. You can cruise along the Brisbane River on their cocktail or brewery cruises, taking in the city skyline whilst stopping at some of Brisbane’s best venues. Or, if you really want an escape, we recommend hopping aboard their Champagne and Oyster Tour. Fresh seafood, champas, wildlife watching, as well as views out to Moreton Island and beyond.
Picking you up from Northshore Hamilton ferry wharf, your boat takes off out of Brisbane, wind through your hair and French sparkling wine in your flute (until you’ve drunk it all, that is). During the three-hour tour, you’ll get to enjoy three glasses of bubbly.
Because this is a high-speed boat, we recommend wearing extra warm clothes during the cooler months as it can get a little chilly with the wind.
On your way to the oyster farm just outside of Moreton Island, you might spot an array of marine life, such as dolphins, turtles, sting rays, and dugongs. We were lucky enough to spot dolphins and dugongs, which was super special.
Then, once the boat stops overwater the oyster farm, one of the River to Bay crew will start fishing for fresh oysters and start shucking. It won’t be long before you’re served six oysters with fresh lemon, ready to be slurped down.
On your ride back to the city, you’ll get to enjoy a stunning sunset while you enjoy the last of your champas. We rate this adventure highly!
