It’s undeniable that The Market Folk host some of Brisbane’s best markets. They run Gasworks Markets, which is held on the second Saturday morning of each month from June until September. They also hold markets at Everton Plaza, Westfield Carindale, and more. This July, though, they’re really stepping up with this vibrant plant and flower market, popping up at Portside Wharf.
The Portside Wharf Plant and Flower Market will be held on Saturday, July 16 from 10am – 2pm, boasting an unbe-leaf-ably enticing lineup of goodies.
First things first with this market, you’ll want to get there early. Why? Because there’s a whole bunch of freebies up for grabs. We’re talking 100 free baby succulents, 50 free coffees and 50 free ice creams given away on a first-come-first-served basis.
Once early birds score their freebie, they can then wander through a selection of stalls selling everything from plants, art and ceramics to handmade jewellery, pet treats and fashion.
If you’re feeling crafty, put your painting skills to the test with a free succulent pot painting workshop. So then not only will you walk away with a free succulent, but a pretty painted pot for it to live in too.
When you’re done shopping and painting, treat your taste buds to a feed from the local food vendors onsite, get a photo with the Insta-worthy arches on display, and enjoy live music from Sam Perren.
The event is also pet-friendly, so good furry friends don’t have to miss out on the adventure.
