A winter lodge has popped up by the river.
To help warm your souls this winter, Winter Lodge has taken over a Riverbar & Kitchen with firepits, faux furs, fondues and other decadents dishes. The wonderland has an après-ski kind of vibe and makes for one of the cosiest places in Brisbane over the next month and a bit.
In terms of food, guests at Winter Lodge can tuck into 4 Pines-infused cheese fondue served with potatoes, gherkins, sausage, vegetables, and toasted sourdough; a feast of roasted lamb shanks, mashed potato, roasted vegetables, and warm garlic bread (for groups of more than two); and also a devilishly decadent DIY brownie s’more with salted caramel sauce, biscuits, and fruit for dessert.
Wash it all down with a selection of Aperol cocktails including the Winter Spritz (Aperol, Cinzano Bianco, grapefruit, blueberries, soda) and the Mulled Venetian Cider (apple cider, Aperol, Triple Sec, cinnamon syrup, orange, apple). Beers are also on the menu thanks to 4 Pines Brewery.
On 12 August The Plaza Markets will showcase the finest of handmade goods, houseplants and even more mouth-watering bites as well as drinks. There will even be a pop-up from Riverbar’s neighbours, Madame Wu.
Winter Lodge at Riverbar & Kitchen runs through until 31 August.
