Based on the beloved Whoopi Goldberg film, in which she plays a lounge singer turned reluctant nun due to witness protection, Sister Act is set to get Brisbane dancing early next year.
The musical, which received rave reviews after its debut in Sydney, stars Casey Donovan as Deloris Van Cartier, Genevieve Lemon as Mother Superior and Rhonda Burchmore as Sister Mary Lazarus, so the stage will be brimming with talent. And, with original Alan Menken (Disney’s Aladdin, Enchanted, The Little Mermaid) music, the Motown and soul-inspired soundtrack is sure to get stuck in your head for days to come!
The show is set to perform in Brisbane for the first time on February 8 and will be doing so for a limited run only, until March. So get your tickets here and pray that you snag one before they’re all gone!
If that wasn’t enough, Rydges South Bank has unveiled an exclusive show-inspired package, including overnight accommodation options, A-reserve tickets, late check out, valet parking and a surprise, welcome treat, for select Thursday and Friday evenings. You can book from now until March 14, for stays between February 8 and March 15, hallelujah!
