Unfortunately, Brisbane winters aren’t accompanied by snowfall from the sky (wouldn’t that be delightful?). But it is that time of the year when many escape the city to hit the slopes down south. Thankfully, though, The Prince Consort has solved the problems of those who want to experience real snow without travelling too far to do so. Welcome to Snow Week, where you can get a taste of the snow without actually going to the snow.
You can expect Snow Week at The Prince Consort to be like a standard week in a snow season village, which, hint hint, means lots of fun. Fifty tonnes of real snow will drop from Tuesday, June 27 ’til Tuesday, July 4, and it’ll be paired with parties to make your winter wonderland experience a hoot.
Over the course of the week, you can join in on the festivities whichever night you’d like, whether that be The Ugly Sweater Backpacker Party, Snow Queen Bingo, Retro Ski Party, Patriots Hoe Down, or Canada Day. And if you’re a real ski buff and can’t get out of town this year, perhaps you’ll be here every night.
The snow-themed shindigs also come complete with DJs, live performers, wintry food and drink menus, and more. There’ll also be cosy corners to get all snug in and take some snaps.
