Some people love running and some people love beer. Some of these people are the same person but rarely, if ever, would they start off a run with a coldie.
However, on Sunday December 11, they’ve got their opportunity to do just that with the return of The Beer Run’s 5k, 5 bars, 5 beers fun run. But this time, it’s Christmas-themed, so whack on your ugliest Christmas sweater, shirt or Santa suit for the occasion.
Over the course of two to three hours, runners will be led from their first bar all the way through till the last where they will celebrate their achievement with more beer and festive vibes.
This year’s run will take punters past Newstead Brewing Co, Milton Common, Fritzenberger and Brisbane Brewing Co before the last leg sees them cross the finish line at The Charming Squire.
How long it will take you will depend on how long it takes you to drink your beer at each bar and if you have any hiccups along the way and since this is a festive fun run, Christmas-y costumes are encouraged.
Tickets will set runners back $60 but include a bib, a novelty bottle opener and a beer in each brewery.
The Beer Run has sold out in previous years and this year looks no different.
