Even though we’re only in February, this year has already been a solid year for streaming. The second season of Euphoria has been taking over the internet, Korean TV shows have been breaking more Netflix records, and Kristen Bell has been enjoying a “glass” of wine like it’s nobody’s business. This week, we’ve copped the news that some epic TV shows have been renewed for more seasons. So we thought we’d do a round-up of some of the best to look forward to in the near future.
1. Euphoria
We’re currently in the midst of season 2, which has quite frankly been a rollercoaster ride so far, to say the least. But this week, it’s been announced that the controversial, Emmy-winning show has been renewed for a third season. And we’re here for it. But please, make sure Rue gets better.
2. Bridgerton
The long-awaited second season of this hit Victorian drama is hitting Netflix in March 2022. But Bridgerton has also been renewed for a third and fourth season. So looks like the royal drama won’t be leaving our screens anytime soon.
3. Squid Game
Ah, the TV show that broke those Netflix records last year, pulling in a whopping 1.65 billion hours of viewing worldwide in just 28 days. So it’s no surprise that the dystopian Korean show Squid Game has been renewed for a second season. But honestly, will it be able to surpass the hype of season one? Here’s what we know about season 2 so far.
4. Emily In Paris
Get ready for more baguettes, croissants and berets. Whether you love to hate it or hate to love it, Emily in Paris is here to stay. After ending on a major cliff-hanger in season 2 Netflix has announced that the show will be renewed for not one but two seasons. That’s right, the fun, frivolous and cheesy show has been renewed for both seasons 3 and 4.
5. Chapelwaite
In my opinion, the best horror series of 2021. Based on Stephen King’s short story “Jerusalem’s Lot”, Chapelwaite is based in the 1800s and is a fresh take on the genre. Season one had me waiting for the next episode each and every time. So look, I’m not mad at all that this mysterious marvel is getting a second season.
6. You
The end of season 3 had us all quite, well, shocked, but also not shocked at the same time. Ultimately, it looks like serial killer Joe’s story isn’t over. A fourth season of You is on the way. And honestly, as crazy as the third season was, can it really get much crazier? We’ll have to wait and see.
7. Arcane
It’s the animated show on Netflix that everyone’s talking about on Twitter at the moment. Based on the video game League Of Legends, Arcane has taken the world by storm. And fans will be thrilled that it’s coming back for a second season.
8. Yellowstone
Yes, the Paramount Network’s hit western drama isn’t going anywhere. It’s just been renewed for season 5, so we’ll be getting more tea from the Dutton family and their cattle ranch soon. The news comes after Yellowstone was nominated for an Outstanding Performance award at the 2022 Screen Actors Guild awards.
