Fortitude Valley is set to come alive again with free outdoor live music sets, which will see road closures between Ann and McLachlan Streets. Running since 1997, the annual Valley Fiesta is referred to by Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner as a cornerstone of Brisbane’s live music and arts scene.
This year, the fiesta features a stellar lineup of 26 national and local acts, including Hockey Dad, Brisbane’s own Sycco and Keli Holiday of ARIA-winning duo Peking Duk, and heaps more! So if you and the gang want to see some of Brisbane’s best musicians without paying entry, then this one to put on your radar.
The free festival and massive street party will kick off at Fortitude Valley Brunswick Street Mall and its surroundings at 2pm on Saturday, October 11, and you’ll be able to enjoy live music from emerging local artists across three outdoor stages, as well as grab a bite from the pop-up street food vendors on-site.
The Brunswick Street and Valley Mall stages will feature up-and-coming talent performing electrifying shoes, while Winn Lane will have DJs bringing the beats until late.
“Valley Fiesta is the ultimate celebration of Brisbane’s rich music and arts scene. It’s a chance to discover emerging talent, champion local creatives and experience the incredible cultural diversity that defines our city,” says Valley Fiesta producer, Kris Stewart, CEO of QMusic. “It’s bold, it’s free, and it’s for everyone — so come and be part of the party!”
