Get ready for a Wendy’s unlike any other when the fast food restaurant opens its flagship store, called Haus of Wendy, in Brisbane on Wednesday, October 29!
Following the success of their first Queensland venue in the Gold Coast back in January, the cult American burger spot is set to open an immersive, one-of-a-kind store in Brisbane. With several rooms and a total capacity for 130 diners, each with murals — including stunning street art featuring Brisbane landmarks — and décor paying homage to different aspects of Wendy’s eponymous and iconic mascot, eating in will be an experience.
There’s a braid boom with braided walls and ceilings as an ode to Wendy’s distinct red pig tails; a fresh room with bright, clean blue walls and detailing meant to celebrate the freshness of the restaurant’s ingredients (their beef is famously never frozen); a chill room that includes an interactive photo booth, and refers both to the atmosphere and to that deliciously brain-freezing dessert, the Frosty; and a bow room, with a wall of hand-created hair accessories similar to the ones Wendy wears.
In this unique environment, you’ll be able to chow down on Aussie beef burgers, chicken tenders, or a mouth-watering Baconator! And, although there is no breakfast menu as of now, with the goal of expanding to 200 stores across Australia, who knows what the future holds?

The lead-up to the opening already made a splash in the CBD, as famous city statues were unexpectedly adorned with Wendy’s signature red pigtails, and Wendy’s Redhead Royalty brought the energy out to the streets dancing and interacting with Brisbanites all over the city.
“We don’t do ordinary. Wendy’s is about being fresh, bold, and a little unexpected,” said Corina Black, Chief Marketing Officer at Flynn Group Wendy’s Asia Pacific. “Today was just a taste of the energy we’re bringing to Brisbane. The Haus of Wendy is more than a restaurant; it’s an experience, and we can’t wait to open the doors […]”
Haus of Wendy’s doors will open at 9am on Wednesday, October 29 at 245 Albert Street, opposite King George Square, and you’ll want to be one of the first to get your hands on one of those juicy square patties!
