The Northshore Riverfront is being transformed into a winter wonderland.
Snow in Brisbane is hard to come by, but when this outdoor winter wonderland pops up in the city next month, snow will be falling on the daily. Not just once either, but four times a day. (Featured image: thewintervillage)
Although the snow will be faux, the winter village will be covered white and magic will be in the air as the city’s lights twinkle in the background. You’ll have to head along to experience it or miss out on all the winter-themed fun.
For example, those who love the winter months can cosy up in one of 22 enchanting igloos—fitted out with comfy armchairs, soft cushions and twinkling fairy lights—and order in grazing plates starting at $49 per person. There will also be an ice-skating rink and food trucks on hand as well as pop-up bars and a giant igloo serving up winter-themed treats.
Expect plenty of action over the winter as well with Cheap Skate Tuesdays, Brunch and Skate packages and Family Fun Days on Sundays with free kids entertainment like balloon artistry and face painting.
The family-friendly winter village is free to enter and will be open seven days a week from June 3 to August 29.
