Brisbane’s hospitality scene is booming right now. Not much time passes by without a hot new restaurant, bar or cafe opening up – and it can feel overwhelming knowing which one to try next. That’s why we’ve rounded up some of the best with our pick of new Brisbane bars. Save this list if you need some inspo for your next tipple.
1. Goros
Ready or not, your new go-to bar and karaoke is coming to The Valley in February in the form of Solotel’s beloved Japanese izakaya-style bar, Goros. You can expect a roomy, multi-level venue, with neon-lit décor that’ll transport you straight to Japan’s streets, complete with fiery Japanese spirits, spectacular food and even karaoke!
Goros Brisbane opens in February. And you can find it at 6 Warner Street, Fortitude Valley.
2. Stickybeak Wine Bar
If vino is what you’re looking for, then look no further than this 60 seat Woolloongabba venue! The twist? Self-serve wine machines! What this means is, whether you just want a taste, or you’ve had a day that merits a full glass, you’ll be able to pour your own at Stickybeak, out of their impressive 80-wine menu! It’s set to open this January, so you won’t have to wait much longer.
Stickybeak Wine Bar opens in January. And you can find it at 2 Logan Road, Woolloongabba.
3. Ballers Clubhouse
Thanks to its roaring success in its Melbourne, Carlton and Adelaide locations, this wacky bar is expanding to Brisbane early this year, opening its doors on Wickham street. With classic bar games like ping pong and darts, upgraded with technology to provide a new spin, this is the ultimate barcade! Plus, ball pit karaoke. Need we say more?
You can have a ball at Ballers Clubhouse at 175 Wickham St, Fortitude Valley.
4. Green Beacon Brewing Co at Landers Pocket
Recognised as the best brewery by the Australian International Beer Awards three years in a row, Green Beacon has been a Teneriffe staple for over a decade at this point. But that doesn’t mean they’re resting on their laurels — or, rather, hops — because this year they’re bringing their amazing craft brews to Landers Pocket at the Brisbane Airport, making the air hub a destination in itself.
You can find Green Beacon Brewing Co at 40 The Circuit, Brisbane Airport.

5. Stilts Dining
Expected to open this year in the newly-inaugurated Kangaroo Point Bridge, Stilts Dining is planned as a restaurant and bar, and will be elevated on stilts — as its name indicates — above the bridge deck, offering diners jaw-dropping views all around, and a world-class drinking experience to go with them.
You can find Stilts Dining at Kangaroo Point Bridge.
6. Dark Blue
If you too love Dark Red, the renowned Fortitude Valley wine bar, mark your calendar for March, when its Winn Lane counterpart is set to open! This new iteration of the lively vino spot will be serving Portuguese, Spanish and Argentinian wines, alongside a refreshing list of cocktails and, of course, mouth-watering snacks to graze on.
You can find Dark Blue at Winn St, Fortitude Valley.
7. BY.Artisans
A space as complex as its signature gin, this sleek new distillery opened its doors only last November, but has quickly become a favourite in the West End. BY.Artisans is home to tasting rooms, a café, an event space with opportunities for interactive workshops and experiences and a retail space with local products, as well as a bar, so you can have an all-in-one night out.
You can find BY.Artisans at 99 Jane St, West End.
8. +81 Aizome Bar
From the same creative mind that brought you BY.Artisans, +81 Aizome Bar may be the most innovative bar to have recently arrived in Brisbane (it only did so this past December). With a beautifully minimalist design, its focus is on its “neo cocktails”, aka drinks that take five days to make due to their freeze-integration techniques, steeping frozen botanicals in alcohol for 48 hours and allowing them to infuse the beverages as they slowly warm. As you may imagine, due to this elaborate process, the bar only seats 10, so we recommend making a reservation!
You can find +81 Aizome Bar at 259 Montague Road, Brisbane CBD.
9. Café Disco
A little bit of everything, this Bangladeshi-inspired spot has delicious food and specialty coffees during the day, and an extensive wine list — many of them skin-contact — as well as beers, and classic cocktails with a twist in the evenings. Since opening its doors last November, the moody, retro decoration has been transporting patrons to the Asian subcontinent as the perfect spot to down fruity drink after fruity drink this summer.
You can find Café Disco at 69 Hardgrave Rd, West End.
10. Henley’s Cocktail Bar & Kitchen
A Wes Anderson-inspired cocktail bar that serves up perfectly Instagrammable — and, of course, delicious — cocktails? Yes, please! With whimsically-named drinks, almost-but-not-quite symmetrical décor, a stunning pan-Asian street-food-inspired food menu and even a fictional character to provide a backstory for the bar, every night at Henley’s is like a movie.
You can find Henley’s Cocktail Bar & Kitchen at 130 Commercial Rd, Teneriffe.
