Brisbane is brimming with new events and happenings to look forward to in the second half of 2022. The city is gearing up to receive its very-first rooftop bathhouse in July, there’s a Strawberry and Dessert Festival to kick-start spring as well as some awe-inspiring art exhibitions to see. Now, Brisbane Powerhouse is set to fill our evenings with more things to do by hosting four epic new events, designed for you to eat, drink and watch in wonder.
Coming to the Brisbane Powerhouse Performance lawn from August 12 until October 3 is the mesmerising mirror maze installation Kaleidoscope, which incorporates light, colour and sound for a truly immersive experience. Fresh from its Melbourne premiere, the artwork is made from 700 square metres of glass, steel, mirrors, and moving prisms.
Skipping a few blinks to spring, we have a new outdoor cinema launching, which will showcase everything from blockbuster events to arthouse screenings. As the weather gets warmer, it’ll be a perfect opportunity to relax on a chair or rug with a glass of champagne in hand.
Also coming in spring – well, October to be more precise – is the Pleasuredome, a glow-in-the-dark performance venue that will host music, comedy, circus, theatre, dance, and cabaret.
Last but certainly not least, introducing the Hap Wah Night Market. This Chinese-inspired foodie hub is set to bring the Brisbane Powerhouse forecourt to life, with epic eats, free art, and live performance. The market will make its debut in March 2023.
