When we think of the Scenic Rim, hiking trails and glamping first come to mind. The region isn’t just rich in breathtaking countryside views, though. It’s also home to some of the most authentic farm-to-table foodie experiences near Brisbane. Scenic Rim Eat Local Month is held annually for the whole month of June, showcasing the best farmers, growers, producers, artisans, chefs and creators of the region.
The jam-packed 2026 program will feature more than 100 food events, located from Beaudesert to Beechmont, Kerry to Kalbar, and Mount Alford to Tamborine Mountain, taking you all over this gorgeous area.

Whether it be a chocolate, cheese and wine tasting, crafting your own signature zesty citrus liqueur or aromatic rum at Tamborine Mountain Distillery, or checking out the Fermented Food Festival at Summer Land Camels, there’s something for everyone.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to make cheese and honey, and how they blend together, we recommend the Bees and Cheese workshop at Towri Sheep Cheeses.
There’s also plenty of farm-bound dining experiences to be had, including a long lunch at a vineyard and fire-cooked meals to be had.

To round out the month is the Winter Harvest Festival, held in Kalbar. Here, you’ll find an array of local produce stalls, and enjoy tastings of this season’s harvest, sample local wines, and more. You can even make a weekend of it with their on-site glamping!
