European Masterpieces Up Late.
The European Masterpieces From The Metropolitan Museum Of Art has been on display since mid-June but the likes of Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Titian, Cézanne and Rubens are about to see a new side to Brisbane when GOMA’s Up Late series opens up the museum for after-hours visits.
The portraitures, still-lifes, landscapes and figure studies from across four centuries of art will be joined by live music and DJs.
On Friday 27 August, tunes will be supplied by Washington, Beckah Amani and Death Cab for Luties, with Girls in Hats on the decks. Death Cab for Luties returns on Saturday night and will be joined by Hatchie and also Hol Hibbo behind the ones and twos. This is just the first round of announcements as well so expect more to be added to this list in the coming weeks.
As always, drinks and dining options will also be on hand to properly make the most of a night out. The GOMA bistro will be open for business and there will be bars in the Foyer Room and River Room while Newstead Brewing Co will also be popping up on the two nights.
European Masterpieces Up Late takes place on Friday 27 August and Saturday 28 August from 6-10:30pm. Tickets cost $42 for non-members.
European Masterpieces From The Metropolitan Museum Of Art will be on display at Queensland’s Gallery Of Modern Art until October 17.
