Of all the things we didn’t know we wanted or needed in our lives until we had them, this double-decker gin bus is pretty high up on our list.
Even though it isn’t ours so to speak (we wish, but it belongs to popular West End distillers Brisbane Distillery and home to the gin school), the bus will be parking up at the Good Food and Wine Show this weekend. So, yeah, we’re pretty excited about it—just take a look, she’s a beaut.
The double-decker Leyland 1971 Atlantean Provenance has been stripped, rebuilt and aptly named The True Spirit. While upstairs can seat up to 25 people and has a pop-up roof for extra space, downstairs contains a tasting room that will be in full swing during the festival.
Brisbane Distillery’s Head Distiller will take you on a guided masterclass session as you sample artisan gin, botanical vodka, and Agricole rum. For $15 per person, you’ll get to try 5 different spirits, including a secret new gin sent straight from the distillery.
The Good Food & Wine show will run from Friday, October 21 until Sunday, October 23, so you’ve got a few days to hop aboard the bus while it’s around.
