The beer garden at the Cleveland Sands Hotel now has igloo pop-ups.
If Northshore’s Winter Village pop-up and Customs House’s igloo bar weren’t enough, then Cleveland Sands Hotel has gotten in on the winter fun with their own set of igloos so more of us can pretend to be Pingu.
You can expect each igloo to feature sparkling fairly or tea lights as well as a whole heap of winter comforts, like plush blankets to keep you warm and plenty of cushions for a cosy feel. Unlike a real igloo, these are all see-through so that you can see the starry night sky twinkle overhead. (Pray for clear skies.)
The igloos, which seat groups of up to four, are perfect for friend and family get-togethers. Dinner seatings last for two hours and for $60pp you will get a drink on arrival (espresso martini, fruit tingle, Aperol spritz, large glass of wine, pint of beer or cider or mocktail, soft drink ot fruit juice) before tucking into toasted Turkish bread to start.
Then, you’ll move onto pan-fried salmon, polenta chips, satay chicken skewers with pilaf rice and grilled steak with chimichurri, potato wedges and steamed greens while children in the group will be able to select anything from the kids menu with a drink and ice cream included.
If one drink every two hours isn’t enough, you’ll also be able to order more drinks from the bar via your QR code and see it brought to your private igloo.
The igloos are available all week long with Monday-Thursday dinner at 6pm and Friday-Sunday has two times at 5pm & 7:30pm.
Booking is essential and payment is upfront.
