What else to expect
If you want a break from the heat of competition, there’s heaps of other saucy fun to be had and tasty food to sample! On Saturday, Jan Cranitch will host cooking demos and bring her incredible treats to the Spicy Kitchen, and Lisa of Saucy Wench Gourmet Foods will be firing up the cooker on Sunday with her inimitable spicy style and scrumptious fresh-cooked dumplings.
Green thumbs with a taste for red-hot will be happy to know there will be a plant stall, so you can get your chilli plantation started with seeds, seedlings and adult plants, plus get advice from expert growers!
Young spicy-lovers can enjoy an animal nursery, guided pony rides, face-painting, craft and a story-telling zone. For those with lots of energy, there will be sack races on both days and, for a sugar rush, a handless ice cream eating competition on Sunday for two groups of 10 kids!
Live music will accompany the even throughout both days, keeping everyone energised and pumping out some great tunes to burn your tongue off to.
