You’ve heard of coffee shop raves, the underground early-morning parties where you swap cocktails for brews. Now get ready for the opposite! If you’re not an early bird but still love the laidback and cosy vibes of a café, you have to pay this Scarborough espresso bar a visit!
Not only does Valori Espresso & Bar serve up quality espresso all week during the day, but on Friday nights, they serve music and vibes. Every Friday evening, the café-turned-bar brings out their cocktail glasses and DJs, and spins vinyl — not just theirs, but yours too!
That’s right, Valori’s Turn Tables are BYO vinyl! It works like any DJ queue: you bring your records, you hand them to the DJ and you go relax in the bar or breezy outdoor courtyard, while you enjoy your tunes, and others’ — no Shazam judgment.
They also offer salty bar bites, French baguettes with various toppings, and even some absolutely delicious pizzas for those looking for something more substantial. It’s probably not a bad idea to get some food in your stomach, with $10 margaritas from 5pm to 6pm, and a mouth-watering cocktail menu that includes Lavender Empress, Moscow Mule and, of course, Espresso Martini, not to mention their wine list.
They don’t currently take reservations, so we recommend getting there early, or you risk going home a little depress-o. We promise it is worth the 40-minute drive from Brisbane!
